ANTI DRUG DAY 2026
Our school observed the international day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking on 26th June with great enthusiasm and a strong commitment to
spreading awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse. The programme commenced with a special morning assembly. Students delivered thought provoking speeches. They also displayed creative placards and posters carrying powerful anti-drug messages. Our Principal Sr.Leena MPV addressed the gathering and encouraged the students to uphold healthy
values, make responsible choices and become ambassadors of a drug-free society. An awareness rally was then conducted with students from classes VII
to Plus Two carrying placards and posters. Members of the Guides, Scouts and JRC participated together, spreading the messages of a drug-free society.
During the lunch break, the Higher Secondary students presented a vibrant flash mob. They effectively conveyed the dangers of drug addiction and
inspired the audience to choose a healthy and responsible lifestyle.The observance was highly successful in creating awareness and
reinforcing the importance of collective efforts in building a drug-free community.

Awareness session against drugs
To create awareness among the students, against the use of drugs, a session was organised on the International Day against Drug Abuse. The session was led by Sri.P Jayarajan (Retired Sub Inspector of Police). The session was really inspiring and motivating. The harmful effects of drugs were explained in detail. During the interactive session, the students shared their thoughts. The speaker stressed the need to make rightful choices. The drugs can leave you intoxicated, but the speaker stressed the fact that, remaining committed to your family, maintaining good relationships, following your passions, serving humanity, all these can take them to another world where they can experience the enticing and intoxicating power of these valuable qualities. On the same day a session about Screen Addiction was also held. This was held by Ms.Abhikami, from Nimhans Hospital. The aim was to promote judicious use of mobile phone among children
